This year my students carpet spots will be assigned by letters and they will keep the same spot for a month. Their assigned letter can be found on their table name and they will match it up to the letter I have taped on the carpet. This will teach them alphabetical order and matching. After Christmas they are able to find their ABC spots without the tape on the floor!
The girls are away at Grandma and Grandpa's and my brain is shifting into school mode! I am desperately trying to crank out my brain child, a poetry notebook based off of Houghton Mifflin Journeys. (It's done you can get it here. )You probably already know there isn't an easy way to figure out the letter order!! Well I just took the guesswork out for you. Here it is! Good idea. I like to have my kids choose their own spots. But this year that did not work at all, so now they are assigned.
